Settings → Backups → Verify beside a backup (or Verify a backup… for one elsewhere).
The backup is restored into a scratch folder, every photo and document is decrypted, and the copy is removed. Your vault is not touched. Give the passphrase or recovery key the backup was made with.
The result is recorded: This backup restores with what was checked, or why it failed. Last backup proven to restore shows when one last passed.
