On an item's page choose Update value (or Set value from the overview).

  1. Value of the whole holding — for everything held, not one unit.
  2. As of — the date it was true. Use an earlier date to record a past appraisal; the chart and past totals use it.
  3. What it measures — Estimated resale, Replacement cost, Insured value or Melt value.
  4. Source — My own estimate or research or A professional appraisal.
  5. Optionally a Note and Evidence — see Evidence for a value.
  6. Choose Record.
