For items lost, stolen or damaged, a claim lists only those items — nothing else in your catalog is disclosed — valued as they were before the loss.

  1. Open Reports → Prepare a claim…, or select the items in Holdings and choose Start a claim….
  2. Tick the items the claim is for (Find items… narrows the list) and choose Preview the claim.
  3. Fill in The claim: Date of loss, Claim number, Insurer, Policy number, Your name and What happened. These go on the document only; they are not saved.
  4. Choose what to include — photos, receipts and appraisals, how values were reached, every value on record, storage locations.
  5. Review the preview, then Print or save as PDF.

Values are those recorded on or before the date of loss. If an item has none, the preview says so — record a value with an earlier date if you have a receipt or appraisal.

Sending the paperwork

Save receipts & photos… decrypts the chosen items' receipts, appraisals and certificates — and photos, if included — into a new folder to send with the claim.
