Open the item and choose Edit. Change anything and choose Save changes.
- The quantity is not edited here — use Record change so the history shows when it changed. See Buying more, selling, and fixing counts.
- Status switches between Held, Lost and Retired, with the date it happened. Selling is recorded with Record change. See Held, sold, lost and retired.
- Every save keeps the version before it, so any edit can be undone. See Edit history and undo.
Changing what kind of item it is
Choose Change type… in the form and pick the right kind. Details both kinds use carry over to the new form. Details the new kind does not use are listed separately: switch Keep these as other details on to keep them with the record, or off to remove them when you save. Nothing changes until you choose Save changes.
